Properly managed, meetings can be highly productive. Badly managed and they can turn into proverbial talking shops where a lot may be said but little is done. So this course has been designed to help you get the best out of your meetings, whether you’re running them or simply one of the team.

The course covers the main aspects of managing people in meetings. It includes opening and closing remarks, agendas for action, establishing rapport, managing questions, reading body language and dealing with difficult delegates.

FACILITATOR

Sandy Keating and Richard Uridge lead this workshop. Not together (unless it's a big group) but separately depnding on the group's training needs. Richard tends to run those courses where the emphasis needs to be on the mechanics of the meeting - for example, the presentational element or handling the Q and A section. Sandy runs those where the issues are more to do with the psychological - for example, the mix of delegates and how that impacts on the dynamics of the meeting.
